사단법인 국제예술생태연구협회(IAAE)는 예술을 하나의 생태계로 바라보며, 연구와 전시, 작가 협업을 기반으로 다양한 프로젝트를 기획해 왔습니다.
그 첫 번째 활동으로 IAAE는 Project_IAAE #01 / 2026이라는 이름으로 PLAS Art Show 2026 조형아트페어에 참여했습니다. IAAE는 이번 전시를 통해 함께한 작가들을 소개하고, 이들의 작업이 관객과 시장, 나아가 더 넓은 국제 무대로 확장될 수 있는 가능성을 모색했습니다.

Project_IAAE #01 / 2026은 국제예술생태연구협회가 추진한 첫 번째 프로젝트 활동으로, 협회의 연구 방향과 작가들의 창작 현장을 연결하기 위해 기획되었습니다.
이번 조형아트페어 부스는 IAAE와 함께한 작가들을 소개하고, 각 작가의 작업이 관객, 시장, 그리고 국제적 맥락 속에서 보다 넓게 확장될 수 있는 가능성을 모색하는 자리였습니다.
앞으로 Project_IAAE는 매 회차마다 새로운 현장과 작가들을 연결하며, 협회가 지향하는 예술 생태계의 지평을 함께 넓혀 가고자 합니다.
국제예술생태연구협회 소개
국제예술생태연구협회(IAAE)는 예술을 하나의 살아 있는 생태계로 연구하는 독립 비영리 기관입니다. 협회는 예술을 개별 작품이나 일회성 사건으로 바라보기보다, 인간과 기억, 장소, 사회적 조건이 지속적으로 상호작용하며 변화해 가는 유기적 시스템으로 이해합니다.
IAAE는 지역에 뿌리내린 예술 실천이 글로벌 문화 담론과 어떻게 연결되는지, 그리고 사회적·경제적 전환을 겪는 지역에서 문화 생태계가 어떻게 형성되고 공공적 가치를 만들어 가는지에 주목해 왔습니다.
협회의 주요 연구 영역은 사회적 연구로서의 예술, 공동체 회복에서 문화가 수행하는 역할, 장소와 기억, 공공 공간의 관계, 그리고 시장 중심의 구조를 넘어서는 지속 가능한 문화 생태계 모델입니다.

The International Association for Art Ecosystem Research (IAAE) has been planning and developing various projects based on research, exhibitions, and collaborations with artists, approaching art as a living ecosystem.
As its first initiative, IAAE participated in PLAS Art Show 2026 under the title Project_IAAE #01 / 2026. Through this exhibition, IAAE introduced the artists who took part in the project and explored the potential for their practices to expand toward audiences, the market, and a broader international stage.

Project_IAAE #01 / 2026 was the first project initiated by the International Association for Art Ecosystem Research. It was planned to connect the Association’s research direction with the creative practices of artists.
The IAAE booth at PLAS Art Show served as a platform to introduce the artists participating with IAAE and to explore the possibility of expanding each artist’s practice within the contexts of audiences, the market, and the international art scene.
Moving forward, Project_IAAE aims to continue connecting new artistic fields and artists with each edition, expanding the horizons of the art ecosystem that the Association seeks to cultivate.

The International Association for Art Ecosystem Research (IAAE) is an independent non-profit organization that studies art as a living ecosystem. The Association understands art not as isolated works or one-time events, but as an organic system in which people, memory, place, and social conditions continuously interact and transform.
IAAE has focused on how regionally rooted artistic practices connect with global cultural discourse, and how cultural ecosystems are formed and generate public value in regions undergoing social and economic transition.
The Association’s key areas of research include art as a form of social research, the role of culture in community resilience, the relationship between place, memory, and public space, and sustainable models for cultural ecosystems beyond market-driven structures.
