Marisa Calchiolo
Art Curator
Marisa Caichiolo is an internationally respected curator, artist, and cultural leader whose practice has long advanced global artistic exchange and interdisciplinary research. As Founder of Building Bridges Art Exchange and a collaborator with major international museums, biennials, and cultural institutions, she has contributed extensively to fostering dialogue across art, society, and diverse communities. Bringing deep expertise in cultural ecosystems, nonprofit leadership, and international collaboration, she serves as a Board Member of the Association, supporting its mission through strategic insight, global perspective, and a strong commitment to expanding cross-border cultural exchange and research.
Alma Ruiz
Art Curator
Alma Ruiz is a distinguished curator and arts leader known for her significant contributions to contemporary art discourse and international curatorial practice. Formerly with Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles, she has curated influential exhibitions focused on postwar Italian and Latin American art while championing emerging artists through a rigorous and globally engaged curatorial approach. With extensive experience as a juror, advisor, and panelist for major biennials and arts institutions, she brings exceptional expertise in critical research, international cultural exchange, and institutional development. As a Board Member of the Association, she contributes valuable curatorial insight and strategic perspective in advancing the organization’s vision and global cultural dialogue.
Ara Oshagan
Art Curator
Ara Oshagan is a multidisciplinary artist, photographer, and cultural advocate whose practice explores identity, memory, displacement, and social justice through visual art and public engagement. Internationally recognized for his work with marginalized communities and socially engaged artistic research, he has exhibited widely across museums, public institutions, and cultural platforms in the United States and abroad. Through his interdisciplinary practice spanning photography, installation, and curatorial projects, he brings to the Association a critical perspective on cultural memory, human rights, and transnational dialogue. As a Board Member, he contributes valuable insight to the organization’s mission of advancing artistic research, cross-cultural exchange, and global discourse.
